SPR-1
Steyr Precision Rifle 1
Known Distance
(Up to 600 yards)
SPR-1 (Steyr Precision Rifle 1) is a two day stand-alone course that will give you the theory knowledge, shooting practice and the ballistics skills needed to reach Steyr's accuracy potential of 600 yards and beyond, on Known Distance targets. This is the first step in learning to shoot at long range since all targets are lined up, and the shooter does not need to change his firing direction, make any quick calculations, or define new ballistic angles for each shot. This is the perfect, controlled environment to learn the 'How-To' and the ballistics techniques to hit your target every time.
At our dynamic classroom sessions and during range practice, the head instructor Eduardo Abril de Fontcuberta will cover fundamentals of marksmanship and the components of successful long range shooting. This includes ballistics know-how, as well as software options, new hardware and optics that are available to help you best achieve your goal. You will also learn how to properly zero your rifle, select the best zero distance for your application, and also how to test your scope and rifle performance accurately. During the course itself, you will be exposed to the latest equipment available to long range shooters. You will also learn how to select new equipment on your own, as well as refine what you already have. By the end of the course, you will be able to operate with confidence on your own when shooting targets or hunting up to 600 yards.
Steyr Precision Rifle 1 at Known Distance is a stand-alone course for those wanting to become better shooters at ranges beyond typical hunting and sports shooting. This course can also be the gateway to more advanced courses such as Steyr Precision Rifle 2 at Unknown Distance (SPR-2), Steyr Precision Rifle 3 (SPR-3) for 1200+ yards at long range, Steyr Precision Hunter 1 (SPH-1), Steyr Precision HS .50/.460 (SPHS) course, and even our MIL/LEO only Steyr Tactical Rifle (STR) police sniper course (coming soon).
